José was born in Cuba. He discovered his passion for photography at a very young age and captured his first images with a medium format negative camera. During the early 80’s and inspired by his father, he decided to study at the Athens Art Institute (Instituto de Artes Atenas) in Puerto Rico, where his family had already settled at the time.

For over thirty years of professional experience, passion for his job, and an easy-going personality are his ingredients for a perfect combination that makes his clients feel connected and in a friendly and relaxed environment. His photography style is a combination of sensitive and romantic storytelling. His goal is to create timeless images touching souls, capturing the most emotive moments that result in unique stunning pictures.

His clients include both locals and visitors that come to Puerto Rico for destination weddings, engagement or love story photos, quinceañeros, family vacations, and more. Besides being one of the most experienced and renowned wedding photographers, José organizes and imparts international workshops to other professional photographers every year. He is an awarded professional of the leading wedding photographer association WPPI. He was also the editor and producer of his own magazine Sexy Bride. José is more than ready to fly into any country to capture your lifetime memories.
